What is it?

Under the Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods must hold an ADR Certificate appropriate to the hazard class(es) of the goods they carry and the way they will carry them (in packages or tanks).  Drivers who do not already hold a valid certificate have to take an initial training course, whilst already qualified drivers can attend a refresher course or take the initial course again.

Who should attend?

Drivers that need to carry all classes of dangerous goods (excluding Explosives and Radioactive) in packages.

Our initial training courses are designed to enable those attending to pass the relevant SQA exams required to obtain their first ADR certificate or to refresh an existing certificate that is due to expire.

What does it cost?

ADR 5 Day Initial Training Course (Core, Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 9, Packages & Tanks) – £550.00 per person. Price includes exam fees and VAT.

Add up to 28 hours of Driver CPC Qualification for only £12.00 including VAT per 7 hours required.

What does the course cover?

The training is delivered over 5 days using a mixture of presentations, videos, practical demonstrations and written exercises, and a comprehensive set of course notes is issued to all candidates. The course content includes:

• Core module

• Practical exercises 

• Packages module

• Hazard classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 

• Tanks module

The Core, Classes and Packages exams are then conducted on the morning of Day 4 and the Tanks exam on the afternoon of Day 5.
